Worthy Camper Scholarship Fund
This type of donation helps sponsor or supplement the costs of attending our Christian camps for those who cannot afford to attend. For more than 60 years Kulaqua has given opportunities for children and families to enjoy a great outdoor experience and all that God’s creation has to offer. Your generous donation can make attendance possible for those who may not otherwise be able to attend.
Master Plan Expansion Fund
These funds help us to expand our facility. Many upgrades are being made in our zoo area, and with over 600 acres, many buildings, amenities and activities, and many thousands of visitors each year, your generous support helps us to be able to keep Kulaqua growing and beautiful.
Some of our current ongoing projects include:
- Wayne & Reba Foster Welcome Center
- Pave Camp Kulaqua Road
- Front Entrance
- Expand Cafeteria to seat 1000
- Replacement of Family Chalets
- Replacement of Rustic Cabins
Creation Appreciation Fund
The cornerstone of Kulaqua’s mission has been to provide a haven where guests can experience God’s great wonders in nature. We’re able to provide this ministry because of the generosity of individuals and families like you. Our current needs are:
- Middag Nature Center
- Zoo
- Mocha’s Open Air Bear Enclosure
- Equestrian – adopt a horse
Annual Fund
This type of gift will be allocated to the area of our most pressing needs. It is not earmarked for any specific purpose and is used for helping us to live out our mission.

Your gift will be used to assist with the operation expenses of Kulaqua - Kulaqua Annual Fund
Your unrestricted gift allows us to further maintain our operations/facilities and live out our mission. - Middag Nature Center
All funds donated go to the Nature Center Building Fund - Worthy Camper Scholarship Fund
Funds will be used to help a camper in need attend summer camp. - Horse Sponsorship Fund
These donations will help us take better care of our horse friends at the Kulaqua Stables. - Wildlife Sanctuary Fund
These donations will help us take better care of our furry friends at the Kulaqua Wildlife Sanctuary.
Hannah’s New Cougar Enclosure – Completed thanks to your contributions!
These donations will help us build a new home for our friendly cougar, Hannah. - New Entrance & Paved Road Project
Kulaqua hopes to provide more security in the future by adding a gated entrance. Also, paving the main camp road will allow our guests easier and safer access to camp.

Kulaqua’s Children’s Ministries
In addition to being North Florida’s premiere location for educational and Christian retreats and conferences, Kulaqua also has an active and effective young adult, youth, and children’s ministry.
For over 60 years, Camp Kulaqua has been revealing to our future generations God’s great wonders in nature. Camp Kulaqua’s yearly programs provide opportunities for children and families to enjoy the great outdoor experience and all that God’s creation has to offer. We’re able to provide this ministry because of the generosity of individuals and families like you.
There are several ways you can show support – by prayer, by sharing the invitation to attend our programs with friends and family, by attending our programs, and by your financial support. Your generosity can help a child come to camp!

Expansion Funds
The expansion funds help us to expand our facility. Here are some of our current areas we are expanding: The Zoo Fund and Upgrading Hanna’s Environment We are working hard to upgrade the remaining enclosures of our exotic wildlife zoo and nature facility.
We are pleased to have already been able to upgrade many so that our precious animals now enjoy the grass and sunshine in their new habitats. With your help we can complete this endeavor of love and care for our precious animals.
Our next project in our Zoo is to build a new enclosure for Hanna, our resident cougar. Her natural habit ranges from the Florida swamps to the Canadian forests. Her new enclosure will give her the freedom she needs to play, swim and climb as she would in her natural habitat. Please help us complete her new enclosure as quickly as possible.
Funding for the Middag Nature Center
Nature Education is very important to Kulaqua. Tens of thousands of guests and thousands of summer camp children benefit from the nature classes our knowledgeable staff conducts, and from interaction with our unique wildlife collection. Your gift will ensure that generations to come will benefit from an expanded Nature Center, with an adjoining amphitheater and classroom.

In addition to the upgrades we are accomplishing in our zoo and wildlife area, we have over 600 acres, many buildings, amenities and activities that many thousands of visitors enjoy each year. Maintaining these grounds is very important to us. We rely on the donations of our supporters to expand and maintain our facility so that it can be the nature based haven it was designed to be. Your generous support helps us to be able to keep Kulaqua adequate for our demanding needs, and beautiful.
