John Bradshaw
JOHN BRADSHAW, Speaker/Director, It Is Written, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
John Bradshaw is speaker/director of It Is Written, an international media evangelism ministry. As a teacher of Bible prophecy, his presentations have blessed thousands of people around the world. He has filmed It Is Written programs on five continents. John is married to Melissa, and they have two children.
Mike Cauley
MIKE CAULEY, President, Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, Altamonte Springs, Florida
Mike Cauley and Dottie, his wife, served in pastoral ministry for 15 years in the Southern Union. In January 1993, Mike accepted a call to serve as Executive Secretary and Ministerial Director of Pennsylvania Conference. Two years later, he was elected Pennsylvania Conference President where he served in that role for 81/2 years. In 2003, Mike was elected Florida Conference President. He completed a doctorate in executive leadership from McCormick Theological Seminary in 2006. Mike has a passion for leading change to help organizations fulfill a Spirit-directed vision for ministry. He has also served as a co-coordinator for the Missional Church Doctor of Ministry Cohort with his son. Under Mike’s leadership, Florida Conference has introduced a process for training life coaches and developing leaders. He has a passion to see men and women grow to reach their God-given potential. Mike and Dottie have two children. Michael, with his wife Ashley, is serving as a pastor in Franklin, Tennessee. Their daughter, Kelly, is a Clinical Psychologist and resides with her husband, Brandon Rivinius in Loma Linda, California. The Cauleys have three grandchildren.
Richard Barron
RICHARD BARRON, Retired Assistant to the President for Mission and Ministries, Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center.
Richard Barron is a retired minister and church administrator. In his years of service, he was privileged to serve at many levels of the Seventh-day Adventist Church organization. Now, in his retirement, he continues to serve God and His cause as an international revivalist, most recently completing missions at home, South America, and Australia. He is more excited now about the soon return of Jesus than when he first believed as a child and is only too happy to receive invitations from church leaders to proclaim the gospel of love at home and abroad. Barron solicits your prayers for a finished work in this generation.
Des Cummings
DES CUMMINGS, President, Florida Hospital Foundation.
Des Cummings Jr. earned a Ph.D. in Leadership and Management with emphasis in Statistical Forecasting from Andrews University. He also has a Master of Divinity degree and is an ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. His passion is expressed in the books he has authored: 8 Secrets of a Healthy 100; CREATION Health, Original Love; and his newest book, Live Life to the Fullest. They focus on the philosophy and lifestyle that is the foundation of the Adventist Health Mission and provide a model for improving global health. He speaks to national and international conferences on the future of healthcare, specializing in strategies for whole person care, healthy communities, and the hospital of the future. Cummings is a health care planner focusing on defining a vision for transforming our community from a disease culture to a health culture. This vision embraces both health and healing and is captured in a goal that invites everyone to “Imagine a Healthy 100.” Cummings gave leadership to developing the design for the hospital of the future at the Disney City of Celebration which has been recognized as providing one of the model facilities for addressing America’s health care crisis. He collaborated on the design of Health Village in Orlando as well as other high concept communities. Cummings’ passion for children’s health has led to the founding of Creation Kids Village, an innovative health education campus devoted to children and families to help them realize their health potential.
Reignite the “Upward Look”
Did you know that in big cities you can keep safe just by looking down at the sidewalk and not making eye contact with any of the passersby? Your eyes are the first form of engagement and it’s not safe to engage with strangers in big cities. The locals all know this, and as you walk it’s quite obvious who is local. They all have downcast eyes; avoiding eye contact is a big city skill. They all know how to keep safe, so they are looking at their feet or phone.
With the advent of cell phones “keeping safe” just got to be global. It’s easy to look at your phone as you walk and shut out that “unsafe” eye contact. All those delicious apps on your phone. Google will tell you exactly where you are, and where you are going. Siri also knows everything, and will talk you through it, to it, or take notes. Facebook will tell you all about your friends, and what’s trending, altogether wonderful, entertainment as you walk. But at what expense?
If you’d lifted your gaze you would have seen the little boy huddled in the doorway with no coat in the freezing weather. If you’d lifted your gaze you would have seen the hungry guy rummaging through the garbage. If you’d lifted your gaze you would have seen the watery sunset, the spring blossoms on the trees, the old couple helping each other down the road. If you’d lifted your gaze your heart would have stirred with compassion and you might have been moved to do something kind. How safe is that?
The Upward Look is a lost art lately. Eyes talk but no heart seems to be listening.
Did you know that you can read people? A picture is worth a thousand words. That means your eyes can speed read when you look at others. And what you see is relative. This old world is a great big book of millions of stories. All with endings still to be written. And each one of us has the ability to rewrite any ending we chose, for whomever we chose. We need to learn to look around us and “Restore the Vision.” The Vision of Heaven as our intended home. The Vision of Ministering as our intended role. The Vision of being a Heavenly Family on a grueling journey toward Home. And our Mission? To help every one of our brothers and sisters get there. Not one should be lost.
Each Sabbath, as our Family gathers, we should cast our eyes about and “read some people.” Whose story can you help change to be happy? Whose story can you help change to quell hunger? Whose story can you relieve from burdens, or tears, or worry ….. Can you “Restore the Vision, Restore the Mission” by being a better disciple, husband, father, wife, mother, friend ….? Let’s reignite the “Upward Look”…. for our redemption draweth nigh!

If tickets were not ordered at the time accommodations were reserved, they can be purchased from the Main Office prior to Friday sundown.

Medical Services
ALWAYS DIAL 911 FOR EMERGENCIES. Camp Kulaqua can only provide basic first aid services. First aid supplies are in the Osceola Cabin, located along the north side of King Chapel. Any Camp staff with a communication radio can contact first aid staff, or call (386) 454-1351. In the event of a 911 emergency, the Camp address for the dispatcher is 23400 NW 212 Ave., High Springs.
